CIDER DONUT BIKE TOUR

Gravel bike ride visiting local farms to taste cider donuts and apple cider
20-23 mile ride with options to join or leave the ride at any point
Average speed 8-12mph with stronger riders 12-14mph
Stronger riders can head out infront and casual riders can follow
Route will be on the Wallkill Valley RailTrail

Meeting location is the Huguenot Street public parking area in New Paltz village
9:00am Welcome remarks and ride begins from the parking area
We will visit these farms in this order:
Water Street Market
Post ride festivities and food
Cider Donut Rating Vote
Rate the donuts and decide which is best !
Sandwiches and drinks available from Grazery cheese shop
Pre order your sandwich the week of the event. Details to follow.
Your sandwich will be prepared and ready for you when you arrive
Refreshments served at Jar’d Wine Bar
Visit local shops, relax and enjoy the atmosphere
All riders must register, fill out Athlete Information Form and complete the online waiver please

Tasting/purchasing fees at each farm are covered by each rider on site
Enjoy the beautiful views and social outdoor experience
Please ride with due regard for your surroundings, other cyclists, pedestrians on the trail and vehicles on the roadway
Ride safely and obey all traffic laws. Helmets and bells are advised
Gravel, mountain, electric, fat tire or hybrid bikes are preferred (road and tri bikes are not recommended)
Ride is self supported regarding bike maintenance, flat tires and nutrition
Tour is rain or shine
We will ride if it is raining light to moderate
Heavy thunderstorms will cancel the ride
Registration fees could be carried over to new rescheduled date if it is postponed
Dress approprietly and be prepared to get dirty if it is raining!

This is a fundraising event and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Wallkill Valley Land Trust, a nonprofit that owns and manages the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail.
Important Route Information
We will meet at the Huguenot Street Public parking lot
Stepping off shortly after 9:00am and ride along N Front Street to the RailTrail entrance and head south
Be mindful crossing Route 299/Main Street in New Paltz
Be mindful of crossing Route 44/55 in Gardiner
Continuing on the Rail Trail south of 44/55 Gardiner for 1 more mile, then onto the roadway at Sand Hill Road, east to Marabac Road, east to Route 208
At Route 208, we will cross over the road to follow northbound traffic, to Wrights Farm
Once exiting Wrights, we will cross the roadway and ride south to Tantillos Farm
Once exiting Tantillos, we will ride south to Marabac Road and head west, back to Sand Hill and enter the trail again to head north
Please be mindful of these sections of the route and work together to cross the roadways safely
